I am working here as Quality Assurance Engineer. The plant has a nameplate production capacity of 100 tons/day biodiesel. The plant mainly comprised of oil settling tanks, Pre-esterification and transesterification units.I am monitoring quality control department here. I am responsible for quality control during all stages of biodiesel manufacturing. It includes quality tests of raw oils, settling tanks, tests during preesterification and transesterification leading to the best grade biodiesel. Tests performed to maintain good quality of biodiesel are moisture percent, impurities, pH, densities, acid values, soap test and tarr percent at different stages of manufacturing.
I was working there at pulp and paper manufacturing unit. Myr esponsibility was to produce pulp of good quality. Pulp was being made of wheat straw, bagasse and kahi.
Plant consisted of batchwise steam digesters to cook the pulp. The cooked pulp was then passed through a series of washing filters and then a series of filters for the bleaching purpose. Bleaching agents used were Chlorine and Calcium Hypochloride. The plant had a capacity of 100 tons of pulp per day.
I worked at polymer unit there. The plant had a nameplate production capacity of 100 tons/day Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) chips. The plant comprised of 4 Reactors, Vapor-Liquid state polymerization technology operated by Yokogawa DCS system; controlling 2 Esterification reactors, 2 Condensation polymerization reactors, Distillation recovery columns and High Temperature Medium (HTM) Heater units.
I was responsible for handling of operating DCS and Engineering HIS, smooth and continuous floor operations regarding Mole Ratio, Acid Value 1 & Acid Value 2, IV and other quality parameters inline with standards to minimize waste and executing activities cost effectively.
I was responsible for the whole manufacturing process of good quality sugar. Sugarcane was used as raw material. Plant had crushing capacity of 6000 tons/day.
Plant mainly consisted of cane crushers, juice clarifiers, series of evaporators, and then a series of centrifuges and crystallizers. Quality parameters to maintain were moisture percent, temperatures and brix etc. at different stages of sugar making process.
